These images are copyright Maveric Photography / The Hastings Journal. Any commercial use permission must be obtained in writing and accompany a $50 per image fee.
The Hastings School District is exempt from this requirement. The district and schools within the district have permission to utilize the images associated with Hastings Area Schools from any of the albums for their own use for free. The two requirements are: they must provide proper attrition to the author(s) "Image provided by Bruce Karnick of Maveric Photography/Hastings Journal" and they do not have permission to redistribute any images to other media outlets.
*** MSHSL PURCHASE DISCLAIMER ***
IMPORTANT NOTE:
As a small town newspaper reporter, I am not allowed to sell pictures of any sporting event that is part of an MSHSL playoff/tournament where I am given free access as a reporter.
I strongly disagree with this because the Star Tribune gets to sell their images of the same event, but if I wish to continue to have access, I must comply.
However, I am charged by Zenfolio per transaction for any images added to a cart and purchased, even if I set the purchase price to $0.00.
To avoid losing money on FREE cart transactions, I am keeping the normal fee for buying images even on the MSHSL tournament pics.
To obtain the image for free, click on the image you want and at the top of the image there should be three icons. The far right icon with a down arrow pointing to a rectangle is the DOWNLOAD button. Using this downloads the file to your device, without the watermark for free.
For any MSHSL tournament images, if you choose to go through the cart method, I am officially stating that you are making a donation to me to help cover my expenses in the form of a tip, not a charge for the images because I am giving you the option to download them for free.
Any tips are greatly appreciated if that is the route you choose to go for Section and State tournament images.
